Cornmeal Fried Okra Fried foods of pretty much all sorts and kinds scream summer. But pulling this southern classic into your rotation is a memorable way to add some new taste to your dinner plate. Frying okra is also a great remedy for those that dont like the slimy texture non-fried okra tends to have. You can find pictures, specific measurements, and the walkthrough for it all over here. Grilled Kale Caesar Salad Look, we know that kale gets a little bit of a hipster or foodie wrap, and maybe its lost a bit of its luster in kale-overload recipes on the old blogosphere. But then someone thought wait, but what if we grilled it or something and saved the day. This recipe involves a simple homemade dressing, torn croutons with your choice of bread, and of course grilled kale leaves to improve the texture and taste of a classic salad. Lobster BLTs BLTs in and of themselves are a more subtle summer food with fresh lettuce from your local farmers market or health food corner store, tomatoes from a local garden, and butcher-quality bacon. But seafood is our creed here, and you deserve to eat like a king this summer, so why not try it with lobster? It doesnt take rocket science to throw together a good BLT, but this recipe includes suggestions for the lobster and even throws in the how-to for a smoky mayo to complete the package.
